FAQ

1. Do you have ministries for children and youth?  We do offer children's classes and currently have pre-school aged children attending.  These take place prior to our Sunday morning service. When there is a need, we are ready to offer ministry for older children through youth.  You could be the brave pioneers by bringing your children to our regular services.  We are blessed we many certified teachers who are waiting for your children AND we offer a non-traditional curriculum that grows children in the word and Holy Spirit dynamics.

2. Do you believe in Speaking in Tongues? Yes we do.  We also believe in the full work of Holy Spirit including Gifts of Healing, Miracles, Word of Knowledge, Word of Wisdom, Prophecy, Discernment of Spirits, Faith, Love, Joy, Peace, Gentleness, Meekness, Temperance, etc.

3. What kind of musical worship do you offer?  We are blessed with several musicians who were college trained along with professionals.  We try to stick with songs that praise God, not just talk about God.  There's always room in our group for more musicians and talented singers.  We have an interim worship leader and are praying for a full time worship leader as well.

4. Why are you so small and why are you in that log cabin?! That's a great question!  We are small because we started from 'scratch' not too many years ago and we are pretty strong in our Christian walk.  We believe when people hear the Word of God, the next step is to actually DO it. That's hard for some people.  We are not for believers who are wishy-washy about God.  We are for those who are serious about entering into the deeper things of God.  Oh, and did I mention we actually believe it's ok for women to preach?  Yep, we do.  The log cabin. . . well, it's not what we had in mind BUT it's what God gave us.  It's really about location.  God wanted us to take this area from a high place so you can find us under the cell towers on the hill out Ranch Road 12 (3331, #102 and 104).

5. Do I have to dress up to come there? No, just don't show up naked. LOL

 We want to help set people free from the boredom and bondage of religion. So if 'church' puts you to sleep, if you don't have a clue what the preacher is talking about, if your past is a barrier between you and God, then PowerHouse Christian Center is for you.

     It is important to us that we enjoy our Christian life together with other believers free from gender bias, age bias, racial prejudices, pre-conceived doctrinal errors and ill-founded opinion. Therefore, we learn the scriptures in what God called a “rightly-divided” way (II Timothy 2:15). The Bible interprets itself (II Peter 1:20). We CAN know what God means in His word and wants for our lives.

     Another very important element of our relationship with God and each other is the Holy Spirit. Free Them Ministries and PowerHouse Christian Center are unapologetic about our fervency in flowing in the Holy Spirit. John 4:23-24, But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is a Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.

  Here is a synopsis of our Statement of Faith:

      *  We believe in the authority of the Godhead consisting of:

           -- God the Father who is Spirit (John 4:24)

           -- God with us who is Jesus Christ, Emmanuel (Matthew 1:23, John 1, John 3:16), who is the Son of God, and

           -- God the Holy Spirit which empowers us to manifest God's power (I Corinthians 12) and the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23)

      *  We believe God is the Creator of Heaven and Earth and spoke to holy men by His Spirit who therefore wrote the word of God.  The scriptures, as God gave them, are infallible and without error and represent God's instruction and will for our lives.

      *  We believe Jesus died as a substitutionary payment for the sins of the world, that He is the Lord and that God raised Him from the dead. (Romans 10:9-10, Hebrews 2:9) Every human needs to be reconciled to God through accepting Jesus as Lord.

      *  We believe the Holy Spirit is our comforter, our teacher and guide (John 14:26, 15:26). We believe in the present open operation of the power of the Holy Spirit as seen among other scripture, in I Corinthians 12 and does include the ability and God-given authority to speak in tongues and interpret.  I mention this manifestation specifically because many denominations have chosen to remove this from their experience in the Holy Spirit and have taught against it.

      * We believe you have the right to know and understand all of the Scriptures.  We believe you have the right to know about and experience all the power of God through the Holy Spirit.
