Attitude of Excellence

We have been disturbed by the trend toward destruction in society. People think nothing of trashing their environment or the environment of others. Those who work in customer service (restaurant workers, retailers, anything where we work with the general public) are rude, or don't care if they do a good job or not, cheat their employers and customers. Employers cut corners, cheat their employees, mis-manage time and resources. We don't take good care of our children. We cuss around them and let them see all sorts of trash on television and in movies. We ignore our pets and put them in danger. I could go on, but you get the idea.

So we started the Attitude of Excellence to address these problems. We offer evaluations and correction to churches, corporations, groups, governments, etc., in an effort to apply God's excellent ways to daily life. Below is an excerpt of a recent presentation given by Dr. Smith.

Attitude - A position of the body or manner of carrying oneself. A state of

mind. A complex mental state involving beliefs and feelings and values and dispositions to act in certain ways.

Excellence - The state, quality or condition of excelling. Superiority. The quality of excelling; possessing good qualities in high degree.

We serve a superior God. He is superior to our needs.

Questions:

What is your biggest personal problem right now?

What has God called you to do?

What is your core reality? That is, what do you really believe about yourself deep down if you were being absolutely honest with yourself?

To get what you've never had, you must do something you’ve never done.

o Maybe you’ll have to wait as they did in Acts in the upper room.

o Maybe you’ll have to fish again in the same place as they did in the gospels when Jesus told them to launch their nets.

o Maybe you’ll have to bring your body into subjection as instructed in

I Corinthians 9:27

o Maybe you’ll have to forgive – Matthew 6:12

o Maybe you’ll have to think less about what YOU want and more about what GOD wants. Luke 12:31, John 5:30

o Maybe you’ll have to leave fear and find courage. II Timothy 1:7

o Pray more; complain less

Isn’t it time to go all the way with God? Don’t you miss being close to or intimate with God?

The time of the Lord’s favor is here and now. (Luke 4:17-19)

We are captives when we are tired and disillusioned, stagnant in our walk with the Lord and in our ministries. When our calling seems dormant. When you’re wondering is that all there is?

It’s time for a change in attitude and latitude. It’s time to go higher!

1. There is order in everything God has done, is doing, or will do:

Creation -- There is Order

Building the Ark -- There is Order

Tribes of Israel/Law -- There is Order

Plan of salvation -- There is Order

Function of the Holy Spirit in the Church -- There is Order

New Jerusalem -- There is Order

2. When we have disorder in our attitude, thoughts, lives, it is indicating a non-application of God.

3. We’ve gotten so free in grace that we’ve thrown out everything else. Not all things are expedient.

4. And, we are wasting God’s gifts and resources.

5. Attitude of Excellence is a personal revelation.

6. I Corinthians 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. (Same context as “all things are lawful, but not all things are expedient”.)

14. God wants us to reap the same as we sowed. II Cor 9:6. But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Or even be as the bird, not laboring yet blessed. Consider the lilies of the field.

15. Now we are to go up to the mountains to get what is provided. (Ps 121)

16. Now I know we are living in the grace dispensation or administration, but God has not changed and what He liked or didn’t like before, He still likes or doesn’t like now. There’s just forgiveness now through Jesus Christ, but we still reap what we sow. That’s a law.

17. Haggai 1:14 Stirred up the spirit = Sparked the enthusiasm.

18. Can you remember to compare? It must seem like nothing to you now.

19. When you first get saved and during personal revivals, you are so aware of the awesomeness of God and you begin to correct areas of your life and establish the evidence of righteousness.

20. When we begin to forget, the evidence of righteousness and the corrections made begin to fade.

21. Many Christians want Jehovah saved without Jehovah righted. They won’t ask the Lord and they are growing confused.

22. When we go back to where God is and get what He has provided, . . .

23. Take courage Jehovah saved son of Jehovah righted!

24. God is going to do some shaking!

25. He’s going to turn things upside down and empty the pockets and the treasures will come back. The silver is His, the gold is His. Everything we have is His. We seem to forget that. We don’t ask Him the questions.

26. EVERYTHING the people did and EVERYTHING the people offered was defiled.

27. Don’t you feel like that sometimes? This is why people go around thinking God is mad at them and is withholding favor.

28. God wants thrones brought down. II Corinthians 10:4-5. Casting down every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. . . .

29. Attitude is predetermined. We have the power to change ours.

I Corinthians 12: 31, But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.

God's Wife, the Bride of Christ

God's Wife/The Bride of Christ

There are few subjects as intriguing as the Marriage of the Lamb to the Bride. We know about the Lamb (Jesus Christ), but. . .Who is the Bride? What's she like? Where is she? The message of Isaiah 62:3-5 is that there is one who will be crowned with a glorious crown of marriage in the hand of God. There's one who will no longer be called forsaken, nor their land desolate. But, that one shall be called Hephzibah, in whom the Lord delights, and the land shall be called Beulah, the married one. Just as a young man marries a virgin, your sons shall marry you; and because the bridegroom rejoices over the Bride, your God will rejoice over you.

We must as individuals in the Body of Christ get serious about our position in the kingdom of heaven. he kingdom of heaven. The Bridegroom is rejoicing and He's coming soon for His Bride.

Spiritual attacks are all around us. Most of us are more than aware that the enemy has set landmines for us. Too often we have failed to negotiate the traps and have ended up falling prey to satan’s tactics. When we pray, do we expect God to intervene? Are we able to see into the Spirit to know just how much God wants to bless us, protect us, and provide for us. Do we understand how much God loves us?

It seems that we often allow our thoughts to lead us astray, believing more in the enemy’s power to enslave us than in God’s power to deliver us. As we succumb to the lies of the enemy, we begin to speak out words of death, destruction, sickness, weakness instead of life, liberty, health and strength.

The Bible tells us in Proverbs 18:21 that the power of life and death are in the tongue. As I have meditated on the power of words, faith and just what we should believe for, I have been led to a few teachings on that subject. I have actually heard these teachings before, but in the last few days I’ve received a deeper revelation.

I heard Perry Stone, a well-known teacher of Biblical prophecy, speak on the power of our faith-filled words of blessing in a recent television broadcast. He was reporting on documented evidence from Dr. David Van Koevering, a noted scientist who holds many patents for his discoveries, regarding his research on how our words affect our environment. He had microscopic evidence that our words of blessing and cursing produce very different results in the molecular structure of water. When blessed, a water molecule looks much like a snowflake with exact and beautiful dimensions. When cursed, it is misshapen and shows patterns of confusion and brokenness.

Dr. Van Koevering had also done experiments on rice. He had cooked a pot of rice, divided it into two jars, did not speak over them, but wrote words of love and affirmation over one jar and words of hatred and death over the other. After 85 days, the first jar still looked to be fresh and edible. The second was black and moldy. The impact of this hit me as if I’d heard it for the first time. Even the words we think have an effect because of the spirit behind them. “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs 23:7

I have been watching my words for years and have understood the power of my words regarding my health, my family, finances and provision, etc. I speak regularly to the 125 billion cells in my body to be restored back to their original capacity and function, muscles and ligaments to go back to their normal length and strength, and for health to be restored and apparent in every part of my physical body. I speak over my food to bless it with nourishment, that the Lord will take all sickness and disease far away from me. However, I caught an additional revelation which in turn has opened up a few other windows of revelation. I am excited to share some of this with you.

It is important for us to pray and speak blessing over every area of our lives and we often believe we are ‘covering all the bases,’ however; many still live in fear regarding certain areas. There has been much publicity in recent years that our food and water supply is being compromised, genetically-engineered, chemically-altered and, overall, used for the destruction of our health, which it is. We are prompted to buy organic products, as often as possible, which are advertised to ensure our good health. This is good, in that we need to be buying and eating responsibly to properly fuel our bodies. In truth, however, all of our food supply in this fallen world is tainted. It is why it is so important to bless our food before we eat it. Blessing our food should not just be limited to thanking the Lord for His provision, though, that is an important step. It is also to ask God to heal our food and water.

I believe that our words of faith and blessing can and will genetically restore our food back to its original state to be utilized by our bodies as it was originally intended IF we will pray, seeking God to restore health into that food. We should bless our water, our coffee, and other beverages and command them to be life-giving and health-filled for our bodies, that all harmful chemicals would be removed, in Jesus’ name. If any are taking medications or if any have received medications through medical treatment, pray over those medications that they do only what they were designed to do and cast out all side effects, in Jesus’ name. Pray over the baby’s formula and finger foods. We should not put one thing into our mouths that we have not sought the Lord’s blessing over. If we garden, we can and should bless the seeds as we plant them, speaking restoration and healing of genetic codes within the seeds to produce as God intended. We have been ‘redeemed from the curse of the law of sin and death’ and we need to think like it, we need to speak like it and we need to act like it.

I believe that God wants us to speak to this mountain of genetically-engineered foods in our homes to be removed and be cast into the sea. Matthew 21:21 I believe He is directing us to deeper understanding of the authority we have as believers to affect every area of our lives, even our food and water supply, through what Jesus Christ has done for us. It is a part of what He is teaching us regarding taking dominion in this earth. He wants to bring restoration into our lives and He has promised to guard us and keep us even in the midst of turmoil.

Even if we blow it and something slips by, scripture says in Mark 16:17-18, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name…... if they (eat) drink any deadly thing, it shall not harm them……..” Notice that Jesus does not say that these signs might follow them that believe nor does it say that maybe some things won’t harm us. No, He tells us that these signs shall follow us that believe and that if we eat or drink any deadly thing it shall not harm us. It is what He WILL do for us, if we believe and boldly declare in Jesus’ mighty name. The Lord has put His stamp and seal upon it for us. “For it is not by might, not by power but by My Spirit, says the Lord.” Zechariah 4:6

As this has done for me, I pray that it will take you from revelation to revelation as He leads you toward greater wholeness in Him. I also pray that it will bring great comfort to your soul as you think, speak, and act according to His Word which is His Will for you. His truth is ALL truth. We are not left powerless in this world. We have been granted the privilege and the right, as joint heirs with Jesus Christ, to call upon the power of Almighty God, Our Father, Creater of the Universe to keep us, to protect us, to heal us, to provide for us. Glory to God! There is nothing that He won’t do for us, His children, because He loves us. Be blessed, in the name of Jesus Christ, the Risen One!

Years ago, I realized that every time I came before the Lord in quiet time, in prayer, in praise, if I did not have an experience with the Lord, I was missing something. I knew it but I did not know really know how to get there.

We have become familiar with the scripture from Luke 11:9 that says to ‘ask, seek and knock’ but we rarely go beyond that point of petition. We rarely see that scripture as opening the doorway to more. Are you desiring more and aren’t sure how to get there? God will not deny your request. He will reveal Himself to those who seek Him.

Have you heard about soaking? This is a wonderful practice of coming before the Lord with a quiet spirit, soft music, focusing on the Lord and waiting on Him. In this time of meditation, we may enter into that experience in the Holy Spirit and sense His weighty Presence around us. We may read scripture and begin to grasp the reality that “no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” This is the beginning of encountering God through our Lord Jesus by the power of Holy Spirit; I in Him, He in me. As wonderful as this is, did you realize there is more?

Think, for a moment, about the scripture and the concept of “I in Him, He in me.” Our intellect may process those words in somewhat of a detached manner, without true vision or understanding. There is a place in Him that overshadows our intellect and it is where we want to go. It is into the Spirit.

In that time of soaking, it is possible to see colors, visions or receive revelation directly from the Lord. One day while I was seeking the Lord, I desired to enter into more of what God had for me. I desperately needed comfort from the Lord and it was then that I had a vision of Jesus standing before me with open arms ready to embrace me. I couldn’t wait to be nearer to Him so eagerly went into His loving embrace. As I did so, He stepped into me. “I in Him, He in me.” John 10:38 I was so taken aback that I stepped away from His embrace. Did you know you could move about in a vision to either accept or reject what God has for you, even as we do in the natural? Well, I did just that but as I looked up into His face and into His eyes of liquid love, my desire was only unto Him, my Lord, my Jesus.

As strange as it all seemed, I knew I just needed to have more of Him. As I went back into His arms, Jesus, once again, stepped into me. I could see the back of His robe, the back of His head, His hair flowing to His shoulders. It was a truly awesome encounter. It is also true unity with Him, living the Word. It certainly did clarify some understanding for me of our true relationship. I saw that in the past, I have held my Lord at arm’s length. I had prayed so often that others would see Jesus in me. How could that truly happen if I did not see Jesus in me? Jesus, living in me, living through me by the power of Holy Spirit?

I love to revisit that vision and let it become experience for me again and again. It has given me greater understanding and revelation into who I am in Christ. Through His blood, and by Holy Spirit, I come freely into the throne room to dance at the feet of God, to sit and cuddle on His lap as a little child. I have access through the shed blood of my Lord and the most awesome thing of all is that I am always welcomed there. He wants me to come back more and more, to live there, “for I am already seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:6

The more we get filled with Him, allow Him to have access to us, the more He will reveal to us. Remember that God is a God of the supernatural. He invented it because He is supernatural. We need to let go of our concrete, worldly mindsets to be able to enter into that realm of the supernatural where our dear Lord desires to fellowship with us and reveal the secrets of the Kingdom to us. Being so enveloped, so focused on the Lord, basking and reveling in His Presence will lead us even further into His Glory. Oh, what mysteries, what excitement and what joys await us there.

I've come to realize the there have been times when the supernatural move of God was present and I didn't realize that was what it was. Perhaps I was just too religiously legalistic. Perhaps I was just spiritually unaware. Perhaps I was too conscious of what others might think.

So let me 'come out' about my spiritual experiences. These are just some of which I've become aware. I can tell you that in our church, many are experiencing amazing supernatural manifestations from God. It's not weird. It's not stupid. It's not ridiculous. It's God.

1. ANGELS - Yes, I've seen angels. Many times. I've seen them in my home, in my church, on the street, literally, spiritually, in a vision, in dreams.

2. MIRACLES - Yes, I've experienced actual miracles. Too many to list here. Actual physically manifested miracles. Not the kind a doctor did and we just give God glory (which, by the way, is really a miracle too), but ones that God gets the glory because He and He alone did it.

3. TRAVEL - Yes, I've been translated or transported or whatever you supernatural legalists (lol) want to call it. I've traveled spiritually to venues where I was to preach, seen the rooms, the stage, and even seen the people who would attend and where they would sit. I would receive what to minister to them individually and their lives were radically changed by God's power.

4. WONDERS - Yes, I've seen oil appear, glitter appear, fragrances manifest, felt the holy spirit blow through the room and found a gemstone (one so far and more to come).

5. VICTORY OVER DEVILS - Yes, I've cast out devils by the power of the Holy Spirit and the name of Jesus.

I could go on. Really I could. But, it's your turn now. Stop being religious; be Christian. Embrace the supernatural power of God.

A prophetic word for 2011, by Dr. Linda Smith

The year 2011 will only be as good as our commitment to God, our church and our church family. Those who do the following will do best:

1. Be wholly committed to loving God in Spirit, Soul and Body. No part time faith or half way service.

2. Be workmen and doers of the word of God, including:

-Preferring the household of faith

-Tithing without exception

-Attending church more than you don't, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves as directed in scripture.

-Fully applying the Attitude of Excellence to everything we do and everwhere we are.

-Crucifying the flesh. No more self-justification for not doing so.

3. Let God change you and continue to develop you.

I hear the Lord saying, "Speed it up!" "Don't waste earth time." "Move from fruitful into multiplication. God is speaking of kingdom in this, not temporal.

Holy Spirit is moving us PHCC into a season of revelation concerning prayer and intercession. I see a knife of intercession cutting through bondages. This is the new deliverance ministry. The time of deliverance ministry as we've known it is over. People either do the word of God or they don't. Sheep and goats, sheep and goats. The deliverance warfare is in the Spirit realm and God is commissioning us strategically and dynamically.

I hear the Lord say to lead, not gather. Lead and they will follow. Moses moved and Israel followed. Jesus moved and the crowds followed. Mobilize; don't encamp.

I hear the Lord say, "Grow up and be children." Warriors who play. Rejoicing in the Lord.

A Prophetic Word from God, Jan. 2, 2011, Rev. Kay Hill

"Heed well the words from your pastor's mouth. Heed well the teachings I am revealing to her. For they will take you higher and further than you have ever gone. You will need this growth in the coming year. Prepare, Prepare, Prepare!"

Then He gave me this word...

Word for Power House Christian Center ~ "The pathway, the purpose, the plan ~

Power House is destined to be my spokesman - to be my shinning light to a dying world, to a dying community, to a dying city to a dying people.

More growth both individually and corporately will come at an alarming rate. To those who will flow with Me and step out in obedience much will be accomplished and many will be blessed and ministered to.

More power will be demonstrated, more power will be manifested, signs and wonders healings and miracles ~ Many will come seeking the manifestations, seeking the signs and wonders and they will find ME !

A Prophetic Word from God, June 1, 2010, Rev. Kay Hill

I woke up around 6:00 a.m. on the morning of June 1st and I couldn’t seem to go back to sleep. So, I got up and thought I would have my quite time with the Lord and read the Bible for awhile. I began to pray and thank the Lord for the beautiful day and to praise Him when I began praying in my prayer language, in tongues. I had such an unction to continue to pray, I just couldn’t seem to stop. I prayed for several hours, prayed while I fixed my lunch for work, prayed while I showered and got ready for work and even prayed while I drove to work! My spirit was so full to overflowing and I understood without actually hearing verbally many things the Lord was imparting to me. I want to share a part of the download the Lord gave to me.

“My children, my children, there is much shaking of this earth going on, there is much trembling of this earth going on, there is much trouble all around and there is more to come.

I am asking you, do you know Me as your God of salvation? Do you know Me as your God of protection? Do you know Me as your God of provision? Do you know Me!

Reach out and touch Me and don’t linger or put off knowing Me. For time is short, time is very short and you must know Me, you must know that I AM the ALPHA and the OMEGA. You must know Me as your savior, as your protector, as your provider, you must!

Pray for this world and pray for your families to come to Me. For the time is very short, the time is very short.”

My thoughts continue to be on the message God spoke to me! He loves us so much that He continues to call us to Himself. He warns us that we need to have “the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.” Eph. 2:17

He is telling us that we need to be walking in His light daily and know Him in a more personal way. By faith, know Him as our God who provides us with everything we need; He provides us with His salvation, His protection, His provision. No matter what is happening in the world around us; near to us or far away.

There is so much devastation going on all over the world today. Volcanoes are exploding, earthquakes ripping through the land, storms and hurricanes with strong winds and rains causing much devastation. We are seeing wars and nations against nations with continuing lawlessness and unrighteousness.

Jesus said “see that you are not troubled, for these things must come to past, but the end is not yet….these are the beginnings of sorrows (labor pains).” This is the beginning of the transition of the age. Matt. 24:6

Please hear the urgency of God’s words! He is telling us, He is warning us that “church as usual” is not going to cut it in the days that are coming. I have repented for allowing “other” things to take some of the quality time that should be spent with my Lord. You may want to do that also!

Remember there is always a spiritual battle going on in the heavenlies; a spiritual battle between God’s Holy spirits and the demonic spirits. The only way you are going to become more spiritually tuned-in is to become more spiritually sensitive to the Kingdom life. And to do that you must put God first and spend quality time in prayer, fellowship with Him and study His Word. That is how we get to know Him in the way He is calling us to Him. Deep calling to deep!

Then our faith will increase to the point that when trouble comes we can truly rest and rely on God knowing that all will be ok. When we know all is ok, then we will continue to move forward on the path and course God has directed. We will not be distracted by the things of this world.

Remember, “God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, and love and a sound mind.”

We will continue to minister with His great power and glory flowing from us to those around us. We will minister God’s love to a dyeing and hurting world around us. We will minister God’s salvation to those who will receive. We will minister hope to those who have no hope. We will minister healing and deliverance to those who are hurting and have nowhere else to go.

God will be lifted up and glorified and praised! And all of the nations will see that there is truly one, glorious, great and mighty God who loves all peoples and who wants them to enter into His peace. The God who is interested in blessing us and bringing His Kingdom to this earth as it is in heaven. Selah!

2010 and the Remnant Church, Dr. Linda Smith

Joel 2:32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the

name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem

shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom

the LORD shall call.

When praying for revelation on 2010, I sensed the Lord saying that it was time (not a season) to prepare a place for Him to dwell in the end times. I also sensed that only a remnant of the Church would press in to accomplish this.

God no longer dwells in temples made with hands. He dwells in the body of Christ, the church. However, the building of the wilderness tabernacle is a type to teach us what is required spiritually by viewing the natural.

The tabernacle was built from the inside out starting with the Ark of the Covenant in which was the tablets of the law and on top of the ark was the mercy seat. The body of Christ is now the Ark of the Covenant and we must hide the word of God in our hearts that we might not sin against God. (Psalm 119:11).

We also see the lampstands and the table with the Bread of His Presence. The lampstands were fueled with oil which represents the anointing of God. The light is the presence of God and the Bread was the bread of His presence. Jesus is the bread of life and the word of God is called bread. So again, we must have the word of God, the anointing of God and the presence of God in our lives to be a proper place in which God can dwell.

The entire tabernacle was draped with fine linen and covered with skins. The skins show sacrifice. Jesus was the perfect sacrifical 'lamb' for our sins and we must be covered by that sacrifice. The fine linen is part of a covenant too. When Jesus was born He was swaddled which is part of a covenant ceremony of salt (Ezekiel 16:4). When He was buried He was again wrapped in fine linen.

We are in covenant with God through Christ. In these end times it will be those who press into the deepness of God who do the best in a difficult world. We will then be positioned properly to work WITH God and to receive the provision to accomplish His purpose.

You have heard of the army of the Lord. At PHCC we believe our assembly is to be a special forces unit bring about spiritual realities here on earth. That's why we worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4).
